Visual Basic is engineered for productively building type-safe and object-oriented applications. Visual Basic enables developers to target Windows, Web, and mobile devices. As with all languages targeting the Microsoft.NET Framework, programs written in Visual Basic benefit from security. It seems that Visual Basic for Applications has been somehow deleted from my computer and now I can't do any macro programming in Word. I can't seem to find a way to install it separately and uninstalling and reinstalling Office doesn't help. Hello, Note, Office 2016 for MAC is not released yet. Only the edition is available for installing. Anyway, I have got it installed on my MAC and Office Apps are not available (there is no option for installing them). But I hope they will be supported in the final edition. Unlike COM add-ins, Office Apps can be implemented on the MAC platform. So, I hope to see them soon. Some built-in Mail Apps (like Bing) work like a charm on my Outlook 2016 (for Mac). So, the same App should work in Office 2016. At Build 2015, Microsoft announced a change in name of 'Apps for Office' to 'Add-ins for Office' and the availability of Add-ins for Office for iPad starting with Excel. “ Excel for iPad gets add-in support: Starting shortly, Office for iPad will have the ability to include add-ins just like their desktop and online cousins.” So it look like Add-ins for Office will soon be on all Apple products. The complete article is here: http://blogs.office.com/2015/04/29/today-at-build-new-possibilities-for-the-office-platform/. Peter, After your article and the video and a cup of coffee, everything clicked and I figured it out (I would say this wasn't explained very well how it all works):) Add-Ins are available, but only your own custom add-ins. It looks like with Word Version 15.18 and above, if you have the Add-In.xml manifest file and you create the wef folder and drop the manifest file into that folder. Once you restart word, the Add-In menu will start showing up. I got this to work by just copying and pasting the Dictionary XML from. While the Add-In doesn't actually work (due to the contoso.com dictionary not being a real location), it did allow me to get the Add-In menu to show up in Word. Unfortunately, what this means currently is that you can't actually install any of the Add-Ins from the store. However, because they enabled this functionality and the side loading of the apps for developers to start testing, I can only imagine that full support for Add-Ins and installing them from the store is right around the corner. Hope this helps!
